The 2019 Honda Civic Sedan offers an engine and transmission upgrade while the 2019 Toyota Corolla only makes available a 6-speed manual transmission on one of its upper trim levels. There is the option of pairing the standard 2.0L In-Line 4-Cylinder engine of the 2019 Civic Sedan with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) to increase EPA fuel efficiency estimates to 30 MPG* City/ 38 MPG* HWY with the LX trim level. The EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels of the 2019 Honda Civic Sedan get equipped with a standard 1.5L Turbocharged In-Line 4-Cylinder engine that improves horsepower to 174 and torque to 162 lb-ft. This turbocharged engine works with a CVT to average 32 MPG* in the city and 42 MPG* on the highway for the EX and EX-L trim levels.

There is a standard 5” LCD screen in the 2019 Honda Civic Sedan while the 2019 Toyota Corolla gets loaded with a 6.1” touchscreen but all but the base trim level for the 2019 Civic Sedan receive a 7” touchscreen and only the top trims of the 2019 Corolla get a 7” touchscreen.
