We all know that winter driving can be a major pain. The roads are slipperier, visibility can be diminished, and other drivers seem like maniacs. When it’s snowy and icy, it’s best to have a vehicle that is stable and can handle rough terrain and less-than-ideal driving conditions. When it comes to the Honda lineup, there are a couple vehicles that stand out. We recommend checking out the Honda Pilot and the Honda Ridgeline if you want to maximize your driving control in the winter. Learn more below.

2019 Honda Ridgeline performance specs
Let’s first start off by saying that any vehicle with all-wheel drive capabilities will give you an advantage on the winter roads. This means that both the Honda CR-V and Honda HR-V are certainly viable options as well. However, we’d like to focus on the former two vehicles mentioned. The Honda Ridgeline is the only pickup in the lineup and it features a 280-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine, and all-wheel drive is available on every trim level above the base RT. In most cases, any truck with the drivetrain and stability of the Honda Ridgeline is going to be a great option for winter driving.
2019 Honda Pilot performance specs
The Honda Pilot actually features the same engine as the Ridgeline. As the largest SUV in the lineup, the midsize crossover Pilot comes available with all-wheel drive on every trim level. The larger size of this vehicle combines with nimble handling to make for a smooth drive no matter the conditions. Both the Honda Pilot and the Honda Ridgeline are great for driving in the snow, and we don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
