Advantages of the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid

As you can see in the table above, the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid has significantly more power than the 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid. While the 212 horsepower that the Accord Hybrid has may not seem much greater than the Fusion Hybrid’s 188 hp, the Accord Hybrid definitely pulls ahead when it comes to torque. This hybrid generates 232 ft-lbs of torque as a powerful hybrid vehicle, but the Fusion Hybrid only offers 129 ft-lbs. This, combined with the greater horsepower of the Accord Hybrid, gives this Honda model a solid advantage over the Fusion Hybrid.

While you may expect the Accord Hybrid to be lacking in good fuel efficiency due to its power, that isn’t actually the case. While the competition narrows between the two sedans, the Accord Hybrid is still a bit ahead of the Fusion Hybrid. It has an EPA-estimated fuel economy on the highway of 47 miles per gallon* and 47 mpg in the city*. This gives the sedan a slight advantage over the 41 highway mpg and 43 city mpg of the Ford Fusion Hybrid.

The Accord Hybrid also offers a roomy 16.7 cubic feet of space, compared to the 12.0 cu. ft. of the Fusion Hybrid.

While both vehicles have some great specs, the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid pulls ahead with more power, cargo space, and slightly more miles per gallon than the 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid.
