Until now, there has yet to be a Honda like the Clarity.  And after the L.A. reveal, we now know a lot more about the vehicle of the future. We now know that the fuel cell stack has been reduced in size by a third and the power density has increased by 60%. The entire powertrain, comparable to a V6 engine, now fits under the hood. This has opened up more space for the interior, making it spacious for five passengers.

Honda Clarity featuresNew Clarity Feature Information

Other than the new, fast fueling speed of three minutes, the Honda Clarity offers drivers LED exterior lighting, 18-inch wheels, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This vehicle will not only be a luxury-like experience, but a way to reduce CO2 for Honda and drivers across the world. Honda’s goal is to reduce their emissions like 50% by 2050 through the use of vehicles that use alternate sources of fuel like the Honda Clarity and the new Honda Hybrid Plug-in vehicle.

The New Honda Hybrid Vehicle

Honda’s new hybrid isn’t going to be available until 2018, and though that may seem like it is far off, we could not be more excited for the return of an option similar to the Honda Insight, which has been missing since 2014. Unlike the Clarity, the new hybrid will be available nationwide. It is also expected to offer more than three times the electric range than the 2015 Accord Plug-in Hybrid offered. That would be somewhere above 39 miles of EV range, which is up there with some of the best plug-ins currently available.

This vehicle will also help drivers reduce emissions and help drivers save on gas. The EV range will even make it possible for drivers to commute to work without using gasoline. Both are exciting vehicles that we can’t wait to get behind the wheel of.
