Restoration of the First Honda Vehicle in America
Since March, Honda has been taking viewers through the process of the restoration of the very first Honda automobile in America. The N600 was the first Honda model introduced to the States. But, not only is this vehicle the very first model, it is the very first automobile. It is the Honda with the Vehicle Identification Number 1000001, named “Serial One.” We told you about the first Honda car in America back in March, but now the journey has continued and the “Serial One” has been fully restored and revealed.

We now know that the fuel cell stack has been reduced in size by a third and the power density has increased by 60%. The entire powertrain, comparable to a V6 engine, now fits under the hood.
