What’s new with the 2019 Honda HR-V?
No more standard manual transmission
What used to be the norm is now unavailable. Manual transmissions are fun to drive for those who love handling the stick, but the HR-V is moving on to something else. The newly standard CVT comes with the same 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder engine from last year’s model. Additionally, Honda added variable-ratio electric power steering to the 2019 edition.
When there is loss, there is also gain. The Honda Sensing® suite of driver assistance technologies comes standard on the EX trim and up. Honda Sensing® comes with features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and blind spot monitoring, among other technological inclusions. These features are designed to keep you as safe and aware as possible.
